Fiona McKee - Founder
Fiona brings a wealth of HR experience having worked as a Global HR Director for a Multi-National Services and Technology business where she has led teams across multiple regions. Fiona is a chartered member of the CIPD, a committee member and the diversity and inclusion ambassador for the Institute of Directors (IoD) Glasgow and the West, and a member of the Scottish Business Advisory Group. Her expertise covers a variety of complex HR challenges, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, where she focuses on creating effective integration strategies to unify company cultures.
With a keen eye for detail and a practical approach, Fiona excels in asking the right questions, providing invaluable guidance and advising clients on strategic planning for business growth. Her deep understanding of the importance of communication in HR makes her a trusted advisor, helping organisations navigate change and achieve sustainable growth.
Ann McKenzie - Senior HR Consultant
Ann brings a wealth of experience from various industries within the private sector and holds a Chartered Member status with the CIPD. She began her HR career in local government and has since held roles such as Head of HR and Head of People and Culture.
With years of HR expertise, Ann has a passion for making HR a credible and supportive function within businesses. She has started up the HR function for three different organisations and now enjoys the diversity of consultancy work, supporting a wide range of clients with unique challenges.
Jill Burgess - Senior HR Consultant
With 30 years of experience in the HR and people development sector, Jill has worked across a wide range of industries and market sectors, including Outsourcing, Manufacturing, Charity, Education, Retail, and Customer Service.
As a strategic HR leader, Jill focusses on enhancing organisational performance through effective leadership, motivated employees, and a positive cultural environment. Jill’s experience includes developing HR strategies and utilising psychometric tools like MBTI and DISC. Jill is a Fellow of the CIPD and advocate for menopause awareness in the workplace.
Louise Holloway - Senior HR Consultant
Louise has over 20 years of HR and Training experience both as internal HR in Corporate and more recently as an Independent Consultant. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.
Louise has worked with a wide range of business sizes and sectors, specialising in Employee Relations issues including redundancy and TUPE. From a training perspective, she focusses on giving managers the skills they need to manage their people through difficult issues such as performance management, disciplinaries and grievance.
Rebecca Nicholson - Business Support Manager
With a background in operational management, Rebecca supports the team at The HR Practice in ensuring the business runs smoothly.
Rebecca has a wide skillset in operational support, business/HR administration, recruitment and really anything requiring a common-sense, resourceful approach! She assists with a range of tasks including diary and email management, event organisation, minute-taking, and research.
Mollie & Willow - Wellbeing Officers
With years of experience in creating office mischief and bringing joy to the team, Mollie and Willow are true professionals in boosting morale. Mollie, a spirited Westie, specialises in puddle-diving and muddy adventures, making sure every workday is filled with excitement. Willow, on the other hand, takes a more refined approach, carefully sidestepping any mess and keeping her pristine coat in top condition.
Together, they bring a balanced dynamic to the office. Mollie ensures that no puddle goes unexplored, while Willow provides the calm, collected presence every team needs. Their combined expertise in charm and cuddles makes them indispensable members of The HR Practice, always ready to offer a wagging tail and a friendly paw.
